The Smile of Her is an achingly personal autobiographical show, bringing humour and rage together in a play tracing a woman’s journey from the American suburbs in the 1950s to an ever-changing world. This show confronts familial values, misogyny, where ambition lies within motherhood and the consequences of being a ‘good girl’ all your life.
